On 07/25/2026, the Mat-Su Valley Criminal Suppression Unit (CSU) conducted criminal interdiction enforcement in Big Lake. CSU conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle and 39-year-old Jonathan Meeks was identified as the driver. The roadside investigation resulted in Meeks’ vehicle being impounded. On 08/07/2026, US Probations conducted a search of Jonathan Meeks’ vehicle which revealed that he was in possession of (54) morphine pills, (20) lisdexamfetamine dimesylate (ADHD medication) capsules, (3) oxycodone pills, and (2) vials of testosterone. The search also revealed (21) stolen credit cards, identification cards, and checks. On 08/08/2026, Palmer Patrol conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that Jonathan Meeks was operating. Meeks had an outstanding US Marshalls warrant that he was placed under arrest for. CSU responded to the traffic stop and placed him under arrest for (1) count of Misconduct Involving Controlled Substances (MICS) in the Second Degree, (1) count MICS in the Third Degree, (2) counts of MICS in the Fifth Degree, and (21) counts of Theft in the Second Degree. Jonathan Meeks was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial without bail. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are expected.
